‘Career Carnival’ is designed with two things in mind; to increase consciousness about choosing career paths in future among the students of junior, secondary and higher secondary level as well as parents and to inspire them for specific goal setup. In this program, different subjects and career paths will be introduced to students with all kinds of information one should know before making any choice for goal setup. Besides these informative slide shows of guidelines giving session, there remains a motivational session by few icons of our country so that students can learn about paths to successes.
This program allow students to discover their inborn preference for different subjects or areas of professions so that they can start their journey with what is best for them. And diminishing their frustration about life and future, this program acts as an inspiring event at their preparing stage of higher studies.
Man is as great as his dream. This greatness is accompanied by the dream he sees. To dream big, one needs self-confidence, a brave soul and the desire of becoming great. Unfortunately we lack each of these qualities. Starting from the Primary schools up to high schools or colleges, our educational infrastructure is so designed that we start to disbelieve in our potential and lack the will power to do something great. Besides, we don’t find icons or proper mentors before us who can lead the way to our dreams.
Young generation must wake up and need to be motivated enough to do something great. Keeping these in mind, Life Carnival Foundation has undertaken a program- “স্বপ্নযাত্রা”. We want to reach every corner of the country, every school, every college and above all every young mind and propagate the message – ‘স্বপ্ন নিয়ে জেগে ওঠো’
We have started this activity since the dawn of Life Carnival. We bring great minds of the country like conquerors, mentors, motivators, sector specialists before the students, parents and teachers to give them motivation to dream big and strength to move forward. We encourage them to think out of box.
We try to instill the goodness of being creative, and at the end of the day, we help them to find their own comfort zone.
In Bangladesh’s perspective, one of the biggest problems of ours is the Unemployment problems. The reason behind it is manifold. But, the main reason we marked is the unavailability of proper environment for entrepreneurship and the lack of knowledge about the subjects and subject fields.
Because of unemployment, the sufferers are among the professionals as well as students. It has spread out among the educated ones as well as illiterate ones. It has spread from poor to the rich. It has grabbed the whole society. Though it should have a long term solution, but a quick and effective approach will be to create more subject fields for the students so that they can discover themselves newly among so many various fields. This can indirectly or directly promote entrepreneurship among young, old, farmer, barrister and what not. Only then it will be possible to eradicate unemployment from the society and the country.
We are working on this issue since the very beginning of our foundation and we named it as ‘Shopnoddokta – Khule jak somvabonar sokol daar’
Our volunteers are our asset. What if they are not motivated? What if they do not love what they do? Then how will they convey our message to others? We hope to enlighten our own family before we try to enlighten others. As a matter of fact, we have arranged workshops for the volunteers as part of their regular motivational exercises. In that way, they will stick to their goal and who knows, they may discover their own potential!
As our fundamental concept depicts, we arrange different workshops on different topics and fields. For example, regular workshops on entrepreneurship, volunteerism, leadership enhancement, freelancing, photography etc. will be held at times.
Besides, we are planning to arrange a workshop on ‘Mountain Trekking’ where mountaineer M A Muhit will be conducting the session. We have a plan to organize this event regularly.
A carnival will be held where everyone will do what he or she loves, everyone will perform whatever they want.
How about a single big day for everyone to do things that we love, that we are passionate about? All people of all professionals; students, parents, teachers and people of all categories will gather and do what they love. Everyone will have a floor to sing a song, to draw a picture, to play music, to paint a canvas, to design a whole life.
That’s a future plan and we are going to start soon.
We educate street children and help them find their own potential.
The main aim of this activity is to bring out the hidden talent among the street children and underprivileged kids. We are working on our own curriculum of 1 year long, by which we aim to educate those children and teach them in a way so that after completing our schools they can start at the main stream class 2.
In the meantime, we will organize some psychological tests for all the children. This will run parallel. These tests are aimed at discovering individual field of interest. We will bring out their specific fields of creativity. It is important that a person pursues his/her education in the field where he/she is most creative, most comfortable.We will focus more on professional potentials than academic.
We also want to make sure that all the children complete our curriculum and continue their journey in the field where they are found most potential and creative.
